I have been tagged!

Well I have been tagged (thanks Tiff) and I think this particular tag is fun! You have to take a picture of your purse and all the contents inside of it. Let me start by saying I am not one of those people who color coordinate there handbag and their outfit. I buy a purse and keep it until one of my sisters say, "Tai get a new purse!!" The contents of my purse are always quite interesting. You are bound to find a receipt from at least 6 months before ( I did throw away all the receipts prior to taking the photo!) and at least one random thing that has no business in a purse! The random item this time would be a very bright colored striped sock. Kelsey and I had a playdate with some friends at a kids playcenter called Kangaroo Zoo, which requires socks in order to play. Well of course that day I am in ballet flats so I bought the bright socks from Kangaroo Zoo. That playdate was in December. I have NO CLUE why I am still holding on to that one single sock when I lost the other one! You may be asking yourself why I am carrying around green sugar sprinkles for cookies in my purse???? Remember that post in December about me making cookies for Kelsey's class at school? Well my friends those are the decoration sprinkles still in my bag!!! I am a mess! Other items in my bag include:
-the book Eat, Pray, Love (which I am really trying to finally finish!)
-3 pink hair ribbons
-2 hair elastics
-my camera case
-my Coach Calender (I never leave home without it!!!)
-children's benedryl
-anti nausea medicine
-paint swatches for Kelsey's room
-2 checkbooks
-2 wallets
-Gym Pass
-46 cents
-2 pens
Now lets see whats in your bags ladies! I am tagging Mom, Becky, Abbey, Rae (yes Rae I am tagging you!) Kathy and Trista!!

Kelsey's Performance

Yesterday Kelsey and her dance team performed their production number for Timpview Basketball's halftime show. They did SO GREAT!!!! Kelsey was smiling the whole performance and nailed her routine! This performance was extra special to her because Becky, Tim, and Baby Austin came to watch her! She was so excited to have "lots of family" watching her perform. Isnt it funny that at the tender age of 5 she realizes that having family support is so important? Thanks to Becky and Tim for coming to watch her and making her so happy! Thanks to Lea, who comes to every performance Kelsey has! She is such a supportive aunt and sister and we are so lucky! And finally thanks to Zac for missing wrestling to watch his little sister dance! When the performance was over and we were driving home, Kelsey said to Zac, "Zac do you have anything to tell me about my dancing?". Zac, the dear heart he is, said, "Kelsey your dancing was beautiful!". Kelsey was thrilled!

Baby No More

Well today we took down Maya's crib and put her into a toddler bed. She was so excited! After Adam set it up she immediately got into bed, pulled her new "Rella" sheets on her and told us "Quiet, Night Night". Then she actually went to sleep! I was stunned! I am a little teary eyed about the whole situation. Maya is my last baby and it was sad to watch Adam break down the crib. She has been such an angelic little person. I have been so blessed to have her as my last child! We love you Maya!

Haircut Update

Some of you were curious as to whether or not Kelsey's hair would become more curly now that it is shorter. Well folks, aside from a few waves it is straight. I am depressed! LOL! I really loved Kelsey's curls, but I guess they were just her baby curls. Kelsey still loves her haircut! After her bath this morning it took about 60 seconds to brush through her hair. Kelsey said, "Mom that was so super fast brushing! And it didnt hurt!" She was soooo happy, brushing her hair before was a long and painful process. So all in all everyone is happy!!!

Kelsey's Haircut!

Okay kids it was bound to happen. Kelsey had her first haircut today! We cut off 10 inches!!!!! It was quite the experience for all of us. Originally Adam and I had agreed on 6 inches, but after going to the salon, the stylist there said if we cut off 10 inches we could donate it to locks of love. So we did! We explained to Kelsey that she was cutting her hair to give to sick kids who didnt have any hair. She was very happy to be able to help them. After her hair was cut and dry, she looked in the mirror and started to cry. She said, "I cant see my long hair. I want it back." It was so sad it made me tear up! We talked about how she was such a good girl to help sick kids and how her haircut made her look like a big 5 year old. She stopped crying and the stylist gave her a sucker. By the time she got home she couldnt wait to show off her new locks! She loves her new do now! She shows everyone! It is so thick and healthy looking! I have to admit when the stylist started snipping I felt a wave of nauseau. Now that I see the end result I am so happy!

Tylre's Visit!

Tylre spent the second half of the Christmas vacation with us and we had such a GREAT time! We miss her so much and it is always wondrful to spend time with her. She is growing into such a beautiful young lady. I can't believe she is already 16 years old! Time really flies. When Adam and I started dating she was only 7! She is leaving tomorrow morning and Kelsey is so sad. She loves spending time with her big sister! Maya also adores Tylre! We will miss her and can't wait for her next visit. We love you Ty!!!
Tonight, Adam's youngest sister Becky, her husband Tim and their baby Austin came over for dinner. We had a great time with them! Austin is the sweetest baby! Becky and Tylre look so much alike! They have always been really close, so close that Tylre refers to Becky as her sister. Thanks Becky and Tim for a fun evening!!!
