My Not So Little Baby

My Maya, or "Little Baby Maya" as she is known in our family, is growing up so fast! She is the sweetest, most precious child. I enjoy every moment we have together. She is so smart! She can already count to 20, knows all of her ABC's and colors! I took these pictures of her and Kelsey on Saturday before they went to a party and I couldnt believe how BIG she looked! She is going to be as tall as Kels in no time!!! Maya, you may not be a baby anymore, but to us you will always be our Little Baby Maya. We Love You!!!

Goodbye Midnight Sun!!!!

Today my friends is a sad day. I just found out Stephenie Meyer has put the release of Midnight Sun on hold INDEFINITELY!!!!! For those of you who have been hiding under a rock, Midnight Sun is the much anticipated release of Stephenie Meyer, the author of the beloved Twilight Series. Midnight Sun was the story of Twilight, written from our Edward's perspective. Stephenie decided to discontinue writing the book due to copies of the unfinished book leaking out onto internet websites. I am distraught. I was really looking forward to reading Twilight from Edwards point of view. Stephenie has released the unfinished copy on her website for those of us who want to read it. So for all of you that were waiting so patiently for the release of Midnight Sun, today is the end of the Twilight Road. Feel free to comment about your grief. Goodbye Edward. You will be missed, but certainly not forgotten.

Kelsey's First Day of Kindergarten

This morning was Kelsey's first day of Kindergarten! My first little baby is a BIG GIRL! She was so excited! Our next door neighbors Sadie and Jake also started kindergarten this morning, so we all walked to school together. I cant believe Kels is already going to school. She is so smart and loves to learn new things. I know she will have a great year. We love you Kelsey and are so proud of you!!!

Maya's Ballet Class!

Today was Maya's first day of Ballet!!! She is taking a class called Fairy Tale Ballet, where they dress up like a princess, learn ballet, read a story and color. She had so much FUN! After class when I was buckling her into her carseat she said, "Mommy I have FUN at BALLET!" She was practically shrieking and smiling from ear to ear. Her teacher is the wonderful Ms. Bethany who made Maya feel so welcome on her first day! She is already asking me when she can go back!

Making the Most of Whats Left!

Today in an effort to make the most of our numbered summer days, I met my sister in law Abbey and her two girls at Scera Pool. The girls and I have had many fun days at the Scera Pool this summer and I am grateful to have been able to spend so much time enjoying warm afternoons with my beautiful kids and my great friends.

Last weekend we went to Richfield to visit Adam's parents. It was a great time! The boys enjoyed a couple of fishing trips and Zac actually caught a fish! He was extremely proud of himself! The girls and I enjoyed lots of bonding time with my sister in law Heidi and her kids. One afternoon Heidi and I took the little girls mini-golfing and lets just say the LPGA is not in any of their futures! They had fun just trying to hit the ball and it was amusing for Heidi and I to watch. Thanks Kent and Lorraine for the fun weekend!

This summer has FLOWN by and I am so sad its almost over! This had been one of the most fun summers I have had in a while. I have truely enjoyed every moment of sun filled HOT afternoons! So as the minutes tick by and summer comes to a close, I am determined to make the most of the gorgeous days we have left! Thanks to all my friends and family who have shared wonderfully funny and sunny memories with me over the past few weeks! You have each made this summer one to remember for me and my girls!!

Kelseys Cheer Clinic

All summer Kelsey has been going to a cheer clinic with her two best friends Hailey and Sadie. Last week they had their big performance showcasing a dance, cheer and stunt they learned. It was so cute and Kels did a great job!! Thank you to Angela Atkins, the girls coach! The girls had a lot of fun this summer and learned a great deal as well!

Trip to California!

For the past 10 days we have been in sunny California! We went to the Sonoma/Napa area to vacation and pick up Zac from his moms. The weather was incredible and we had such a great time! Kelsey got to visit with her friend Erin who she loves!! We took the kids to an A's game with my friend Kris. I am not much of a baseball fan, but Kris and Adam both love baseball! Surprisingly the game was quite enjoyable!

We took the kids to the San Fransisco Exploritorium. It was such an interesting mix of information and exhibits, that were kid friendly. The kids had a great time and learned a lot as well! Thank you so much to Kris for the fun time! We love California and cant wait for our next visit!
