When I was pregnant with Kelsey, I read a book about toddlers and in it there was a section talking about your Freebie from God. The concept basically was that Heavenly Father will allow you one super scary experience to mess up in, and he will see that your child is safe during that said experience. For instance, you forget to buckle your infant in the carseat carrier, plop it into the base and drive to the store. Upon arriving, you notice you have not fastened your precious baby into the carseat and are immediately filled with anxiety and stress! What if you had wrecked or taken a turn to sharply? Your precious baby could have flown right out of that carseat and broken multiple bones or worse! Not to worry though, that was your freebie. You thoroughly screwed up, but the Lord watched over your precious baby and all is fine. Well today was my Freebie. I was at the pool with the kids and some girlfriends having a great time. Maya was doing her usual, which is sitting directly by my side. Some time passed and I noticed that she was not sitting next to me anymore. After checking with Tylre, Zac, Kelsey and the group we were with, no one had seen her get up and walk away. I was in full blown panic mode. Here we are at a POOL and my toddler is missing. She cant swim, she doesnt have floaties on and there are 100 people there, all of which at that moment are looking like kidnappers to me. We all got up and looked everywhere for her, for what seemed like an eternity. I dont think I have ever prayed so hard in my life. Praying for her safety and her return to us. I felt like vomiting and crying all at the same time. Finally I heard someone yell, "Tai she is over here" and I felt a rush of relief. I ran over and grabbed her and held on for dear life. I was so angry at myself for taking my precious babies life for granted. She wandered off and anything could have happened to her, but thankfully she was safe and sound, hanging out by a fence. Far to often I get too relaxed, and always assume that my kids are fine. But that 3 minutes where I couldnt find Maya has forever changed me. I dont know if I bought into the "Freebie" concept before today, but I am going to be grateful I got one and my little one is safe! From now on I will be much more attentive at the pool!

A Busy Week!!
This week has been so crazy and fun! Between the pool, Seven Peaks, Tylre arriving from California (YAY!), and dance starting I havent had time for anything else!!! Adding to the fun activities of this week, yesterday was Saratoga Splash, which are our town city days. Our family LOVES Saratoga Splash. There is a big Carnival with live music, blow-up slides, activities for the kids and great food. Best of all its at the park down the street from my house so we walk to it, well we walk and the girls get pulled in the wagon :-) This year, Saratoga hosted a massive water gun fight, in an attempt to beat the Guinness World Record for the largest water gun fight. I dont think we won the record, but there were over 500 people there! They had the fire department there shooting water at the crowd with there big hoses, and of course everyone had water guns. It was so fun! Everyone was DRENCHED when it was over! After the Carnival we went to the parade, where Zac and Kelsey caught every piece of candy possible. Then it was off to our house where we had a neighborhood BBQ and watched the fireworks. They shoot the fireworks from the fields right behind our neighborhood so we all sat on my next door neighbors front lawn and watched. It was such a fun family day!!!

Happy Birthday, Happy Father's Day and Happy Anniversary!!!
Talk about a busy weekend! Friday was my birthday, today is Father's Day and tomorrow is my and Adam's 7 year anniversary! On Friday, Adam and I left for a weekend in Park City ALONE for my 27th birthday! It was so wonderful and exactly what we needed. We golfed, shopped, ate amazing food and slept in!!!! It is the best feeling to wake up in the morning and realize you dont have to take care of kids that day!!!! I slept in til 10 am saturday and sunday! Thanks for the great weekend Adam! It was so great to be able to spend quality time with you. You are so much fun to be with and I LOVE YOU!
Since today is Father's Day I just want to take a moment and tell you all how lucky I am to have an incredible father and husband in my life. My Dad is the most caring, compassionate, and sweet man. He is such a wonderful example of what a father should be. I love spending time with him. I love that I can call him my friend. He is the worlds BEST grandfather to our kids. Maya loves him desperately and is constantly asking me if we can go to St. George to see him. I love that he and Adam go golfing together for "male bonding". And while I am on the topic of Father's I would like to tell my husband Happy Father's Day!!! Adam is such a great Dad and I am so very grateful to have him fathering our children. He works so hard to provide for our family. I often hear him on the computer at midnight still working and he never complains. He is always planning a fun activity for us or picking up little "surprises" for the kids. He is so supportive of our kids activities and helps Zac with his homework every single night. He gets up with the girls every morning and makes them breakfast so I can sleep in. He helps me put the kids in bed every night, which is a lifesaver at the end of a long day. Thank you for all you do Dad and Adam! We love you!!
Last but not least, Happy Anniversary Adam! We have been married for 7 years tomorrow and I cant wait to see what the next 57 years bring! Adam is so kind and caring. He is always trying to do creative and cute things for me. I love hanging out with him, he is such a great friend. I love that he knows me inside and out and still loves me! I love that he thinks I am beautiful first thing in the morning. I love that he can get me out of a bad mood just by telling me a corny joke. I love that we can drive to California together and never turn on a radio because we talk the entire time. He is my friend, my Lovie, and my heart. I love you Lovie!!!!

So You Think You Can Dance Addicts Unite!!
Okay so I realize I am couple of days past when the show actually aired on Wednesday, forgive me I am behind in my TIVO. I watched Wednesdays show and the results show last night and I already have a favorite couple! The same thing happens to me every year, some couple performs a routine that completely resinates with me and I am their biggest fan from then on. Two years ago it was Allison and Ivan doing Sexy Love with the Umbrellas. Last year it was Sabre and Dominic dancing to "Make it Work" the sexy hip hop routine. This year (and might I add it happened on the first show of the season) it was Joshua and Katee dancing to "No Air". Hello was that not an awesome routine! Now of course they are not the only ones I like, I also LOVE Will, the black Chelsea and Twitch. So lets hear it ladies! Who are you favorites? Who do you hate? And which routines do you wait all show to see? I am always waiting to see the Mia Michaels routines. I love her choreography! And what was your favorite routine this past week? Cant wait to hear your feedback!!!

Bubbles and Popsicles
Today was one of those fabulous afternoons where you have nothing planned. Days where we have nothing going on are not often at our house, so I cherish those few afternoons when we are free! The girls and I spent the day blowing bubbles, eating popsicles and playing with our dog Pepsi. Kelsey and Maya are growing up so quickly and it was great to be able to spend the day enjoying their company. I love you girls and thanks for the fun day!!!!
Tagged!
Tagged by my super clever and funny friend Dannielle. I thoroughly enjoy reading her blog, she is so witty!
What was I doing 10 years ago: I was a Junior in High School enjoying my summer and going to the beach everyday! Pretty different from my glamorous life today :-)
5 years ago: I had a six month old baby girl named Kelsey! Adam and I lived in our home in Springville, and we had a siberian husky named Alaska.
1 year ago: Last June I was in New Jersey for 2 weeks watching my youngest sister graduate from High School and then throwing a bridal shower for my middle sister! Last summer was so busy! Between Rae's wedding, Lea's graduation and my parents moving to Utah I barely had time for anything else! It was stressful and emotional, but I loved every minute of it.
Yesterday: We went to Jake and Sadie's birthday party and then had a BBQ with some friends! Good Times!
5 snacks I enjoy: Ummm this is tough. Little known fact about me, I dont snack. I dont really like sweets or salty things, and I am not a soda drinker. So if I had to pick a snack it would probably be a granola bar or a banana. I'm boring I know!
5 books I like: East of Eden, First Born, Eat Pray Love, People Magazine and Glamour. I know those last two arent books but I am still reading!
5 places I would love to run away to: Hawaii, California, New Jersey, Florida, St. George
5 bad habits: Cursing (its so bad and I am really trying to stop!!), interuppting people when they are talking, speeding in the car (like Dannielle), stressing out over EVERYTHING, being pessimistic (although I like to think of it as being realistic!)
5 things I would never wear: CROCS, leapord print anything, high waisted tapered MOM jeans, panty hose with sandals, bright red lipstick
5 pet peeves: incorrect grammar, kids talking back, people who smoke in the car with children (that should be against the law!!!), bad customer service (again like Dannielle), people who cancel plans at the last minute
5 things I like doing: cooking, vacationing, watching CNN, shopping, golfing
5 TV shows I like: CNN's Anderson Cooper 360, Dog Whisperer, CNN's The Situation Room, House, American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. I know that is 6 but I couldnt choose!
5 famous people I would like to meet: Martin Luther King JR, Thurgood Marshall, Rush Limbaugh, Anderson Cooper and Gordon B. Hinkley.
5 people I am tagging: Cori Simmons, Brandy Holt, Abbey Camara (yes you Abbey!), Ellery Mithchell, and Rae Clinkscale (and you have to do it this time Rae!!!)
